Recently I entered The Australian Nature Conservancy Photo Competition with of of the photos I took while I studied my diploma of photoimaging.  Out of the 5 category’s I entered a photo into wildlife. I came second in that category and received a highly commended for my photo ” dying glance”

Here is what the judges had to say –

TITLE: Dying Glance

PHOTOGRAPHER: Naomi Pellowe

JUDGES’ COMMENTS: “A once-in-a-lifetime moment captured on camera… The striking part of this image is the fact that the Crested Pigeon seems to be looking at the camera, giving the viewer one last look at the bird before it gets devoured by the Carpet Python. Perfect timing.” – Michael Snedic
